Walkden Cricket Club are looking to recruit two UKCC level 2 coaches to take on the responsibility of teaching their junior teams in a fun and skillful way.

The ECB Clubmark accredited club play in the Bolton Cricket League and hope to expand their junior development programmes.

Lancashire Cricket Club is eager to help Walkden find the coaches it needs to develop. LCC’s area cricket manager Bobby Denning said: “The club is an integral part of the community and part of that is to make sure that they have the right coaches in place so youngsters who come into the club from either the local schools or the community itself, get the right level of coaching from the right number of coaches.

“It’s about a quality cricket experience, it’s about making sure the youngsters have that good first experience of the game but also we want the right skills to be taught and we can only do that if we have qualified coaches in place.”
