Big Stadium Kick North plans to visit 15 football clubs this month to raise money for the British Heart Foundation and Target Ovarian Cancer.

The family will stop off at Salford City as part of their 200 mile trek across the North West.

Most of the family are taking part including Simon Milbourne and his two sons Tyler and Charlie,
.
Also, Simon’s brother-in-law Barry Summer, as well as close friend John Roberts.

Simon said: “When my wife lost her mum to cancer, my eldest son decided he wanted to raise money for charity, so we decided to start doing sponsored walks”.

Last year, the family took up it’s first fundraising challenge and walked 178 miles across the midlands.

As a result, they raised over £4000 for Kids with Cancer and Clic Sargent.

Kicking off at Fleetwood Town on the 13th April, Big Stadium Kick North will tour clubs from Stockport County to Manchester United.

Simon added: “Last year we managed to raise just over £4000. This year we’ve set the target as that again.”

“We’ve even had football players from Sheffield Wednesday donate us some signed boots and shirts which we can auction off”.

Manchester United has also shown its support and has agreed to take the family onto the pitch at half-time.

All the family are looking forward to raising as much money as possible for their charities and say they can’t wait to get started.

Simon said: “The clubs have been fantastic – they let us go pitch-side and take us on mini-stadium tours – some let us take photos in the dugout”.
