“Rapunzel, Rapunzel let down your hair!”

Saltmine Theatre Company are hosting a twist on the classic tale of Rapunzel next Wednesday.

The company hosts a number of different theatre shows across the country that range as far as Clitheroe, Edinburgh and Cambridge.

They solely profit from donations from attendees for all the performances, relying on the generosity of others.

“She’s the queen of her tower, the mistress of mischief. With big hair and even bigger dreams Rapunzel’s curls fizz like fireworks and her imagination roams wild and free.”

The story follows a young girl trapped away in a tower by her evil Stepmother, where her hair grows up to 70 feet in the original classic tale to be rescued by a Prince who wanders into the woods.

All tickets are available on the Elmwood Church site and start from £5 for a single ticket. A family ticket can be bought for two adults and two children at £12.

The event is on Wednesday, 18 December, with doors opening at 6.30pm and the performance lasting from 7pm until 9pm at Elmwood Church.
