Salford Red Devils have announced that they have had to place most of their staff on furlough following the suspension of the BETFRED Super League Season.

In a statement, the club said that the measure has been taken to “ensure job security for all employees and protect the club’s future.”

The club also said that they will continue to keep supporters updated throughout the coronavirus pandemic.

Super League suspended their season last month until Friday, but that suspension is expected to be extended.

Salford currently sit 10th in the Super League table having played seven games. Only Hull KR and Toronto Wolfpack are below them.
