sale of the AJ Bell stadium

This coming Saturday (12th December) Sale Sharks will be facing off against RC Toulon in the group stages of the Heineken Champions Cup

Proceedings will be kicking off at 4:15pm in what will be their first match since Steve Diamond announced he was leaving his position as Head Coach of the club today.

Paul Deacon will take over the responsibility for Sale’s first team and will hopefully lead the team to success for the rest of the season.

Sale will be playing away in the upcoming match when it will take place at RC Toulon’s ground, Stade Felix Mayol.

The Sharks have been on decent form this season winning two out of three matches last Sunday they managed to secure a respectable defeat of 21-13 against London Irish.

In this match it was Rohan Janse van Rensburg who set the Sharks off to a great start and allowed them to be a strong team for much of the earlier part of the match.

Akker Van Der Merwe also helped the team achieve victory with a great try fans will be looking to these two players this weekend to see a repeat of last weekends events.

Fans of Sale will be looking for a promising result this weekend in hopes that this will get their team through to the next stages of the competition. However its fair to say that no one can doubt RC Toulon will be tough rivals.

In the current standings RC Toulon has gone up into ninth place whilst Sale Sharks are at a loss as they have gone down to tenth place.

In their last three meetings Sale have won one out of the three games with a score of 15-5 in 2016. Yet they did receive a jarring defeat of 62-0 from RC Toulon back in 2012 with fans hoping a loss like this will not be seen again.

With an important match awaiting and a lot at stake eager followers of the Sharks can remain confident that their beloved team can pull through this weekend but that’s not to say this will be an easy win with tough competitors like RC Toulon.
