A Salford Red Devils fan was spotted watching his team play on his phone at the Super Bowl match between the Los Angeles Rams and the Cincinnati Bengals at the SoFi stadium on Sunday.

The comical image appeared in a tweet from Twitter user @cwrobinson_, who tagged Salford Red Devils scrum-half Marc Sneyd in the post, who was visible on fans’ phone screen at the time of the photo.

The Los Angeles Rams were eventual winners of the Super Bowl itself, besting the Bengals 23-20 to clinch the title and give star player Odell Beckham-Jr his first ever World Championship status.

The tweet proved popular with it being retweeted by the official Salford Red Devils’ account, as well as receiving a response from Salford Red Devils’ Scottish international player Ryan Brierley, who clearly found the post amusing judging from his reply:

The video being watched in the photo was the highlights of the Salford Red Devils’ first Betfred Super League game of the season against the Castleford Tigers – which they won 26-16 -FIN with Marc Sneyd scoring on seven separate occasions to help his team to victory.
