ALTRINCHAM are looking to maintain their unbeaten home record in 2016 on Saturday afternoon as Chris Moyses’ play-off chasing Lincoln City side visit Moss Lane (KO 15:00 GMT).

Lee Sinnott’s side have lost just one of their last 10 home games in all competitions having notched impressive victories over Barnsley, Cheltenham Town and Grimsby Town already.

They do, however, have a terrible away form record so far this season and that is largely the reason as to why they sit just four points adrift of newly promoted Boreham Wood, who currently occupy the final relegation spot.

Lincoln City, meanwhile, appear rejuvenated after their recent 3-1 defeat to Gary Mills’ inconsistent Wrexham side at the end of January. Consecutive wins has put the play-off dream back on track with wins over Guiseley and Eastleigh – the latter in close proximity to the Imps – vital to their season.

Powerhouse Imps striker Matt Rhead increased his goal tally to 20 in all competitions this season after the first half dominance at home to Eastleigh paid dividends.

Altrincham’s leading goalscorer in comparison is a similar style target man, brought during the summer transfer window, Michael Rankine.

Earlier in the season the two sides met at Sincil Bank to play out an enthralling 1-1 draw. Alan Power gave City the advantage before Altrincham’s Ryan Crowther converted at the far post following a deep corner routine.

The two teams have met a total of six times and both have suffered identical fates with two wins, two draws and two defeats, ultimately suggesting that Saturday’s encounter could be another tight affair.

Provisional squads:

Altrincham: Deasy (GK), Sinnott, Ginnelly, Holness, Leather, Griffin, Moult, Richman, Margetts, Rankine, Crowther, Mottley-Henry, Lawrie, Reeves, Heathcote, O’Keefe.

Lincoln City: Farman (GK), Wood, Bush, Power, Waterfall, Beevers, McCombe, Tempest, Grant, Hawkridge, Caton, Maris, Muldoon, Sparrow, McDaid, Rhead.
