Police have seized knives and an air rifle along with drugs across Salford this month.

A knife and a quantity of cocaine were seized in a search on Milford Street, Salford, on October 6, and the same day a large combat knife was recovered in Broughton as part of Greater Manchester Police’s Operation Venture.

Two knives were seized along with 25 snap bags of cannabis and a number of mobile phones in Basten Drive, Salford, on October 2. Officers also conducted a house search and seized an air rifle.

Four arrests were made  in connection with the seizures, including a 14-year-old boy, two 17-year-old boys and a 44-year-old man.

A 28-year-old man and 16-year-old boy were also arrested last week on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class B drugs in Eccles.

Also in Eccles a 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply psychoactive substances.
