Guenther Steiner, the former Haas F1 team principal, is coming to The Lowry in MediaCity later this year to share his expertise.

The Lowry’s Lyric Theatre will host Steiner, on Sunday October 13 at 2pm (and a second show, due to intense demand, at 11am on the same date). The former F1 team boss will reflect on his eight-year period in charge of Haas F1 team and his 20+ years of experience within Formula One, offering an unobstructed view of life in the F1 paddock.

Steiner led Haas since the American team entered F1 in 2016 and the Italian was F1’s third longest-serving team principal before his departure last year. Therefore the 58-year-old will be sure to offer a specialist view into his tenure in the Haas garage on The Lowry stage.

Steiner is known for his entertaining and outspoken personality, yet he may be most famous for his appearances on the Netflix show Drive to Survive.

The documentary offers an all-access deep dive into the Formula One paddock. He was a notable regular on the show as he was popular for his honesty and amusing bluntness.

In 2023 he released a book “Surviving to Drive: A year inside Formula 1” where he discussed his experiences in the sport, this is something that he will bring to the Lowry stage in October.

While not being a principal, Steiner will be a regular appearance once more in the F1 paddock this season as a commentator and pundit, so he will still provide insider and relevant Formula One knowledge to the Salford audience.
