A Salford restaurant on Chapel Street has become a popular food spot amongst Premier League Superstars.

The Italian restaurant, Vero Moderno, regularly hosts Manchester City stars including Erling Haaland, Champions League final goal scorer Rodri and manager Pep Guardiola.

Since Haaland, the Norwegian superstar, signed for the Cityzens he has been spotted numerous times at the Salford location along with his dad, former Manchester City player, Alfie Haaland.

The owner of the restaurant, Beppe, commented: “For me it was like Messi or Ronaldo coming to your door! It is definitely something good that happened to me and my team.”  Beppe talked about how he had been joking with Haaland about scoring hat-tricks and how after that he kept on scoring and scoring for the blues.

Vero Moderno is one of Salford’s top restaurants and has become renowned for its excellent Italian food and relaxed vibe which has led to it becoming a must visit location for anyone coming to Manchester.

The restaurant has been bringing Salford its take on modern Italian food since 2016 after the owner Beppe moved to England in 2005.

Beppe had previously worked in the service industry before he set up Vero Moderno.

At the moment Vero is the only restaurant Beppe has however he said he hopes to potentially open another location as Vero continues to thrive.

Beppe spoke about the Manchester City stars visiting, saying: “We treat them the same, whether you’re a Premier League star or a doctor, lawyer, bricklayer, whatever as long as you’re nice to me, my staff and my people.”

Many of the treble winning stars have been spotted at the restaurant in recent years however the restaurant was originally discovered by the medical staff at the club back in 2016.

The rumour of the great, homemade Italian food spread throughout the dressing room to the playing squad who have been indulging ever since.
