Salford Red Devils have confirmed the signing of Australian Joey Lussick on a two-year deal, following a superb end to the season.
Lussick, formerly of Australian side Manly Sea Eagles, arrived at Salford back in August and help guide the Red Devils to Super League safety. Lussick appeared in all seven of Devils qualifying fixtures, scoring two tries.
Coach Ian Watson told the Red Devils website that he is really pleased to have announced the signing of Joey, expressing that he has been a huge lift for the club.
The Australian Hooker took to Twitter to express his delight at the new contract, stating that Salford is now his home.

Lussick arrived at Salford alongside huge fan favorite Jackson Hastings. After the new signing was teased on Twitter, many believed that it would be Hastings who was announced, however there is no news on his future yet. Ian Watson spoke about Lussick’s fellow Aussie following the Toulouse game last week, stating that:
“I hope with us getting the win tonight then he will decide that this is the place for him. The supporters have been brilliant since he has come in. they have took to him and give him a lot of support. The amount of love he was shown at the end there, it would be tough for him to go anywhere else really.”
Time will only tell if Hastings will follow in Lussick’s footsteps and commit his future to Salford, but for the the Red Devils fans are feeling confident with their new signing.
Looking at you to smash it next season mate, so happy you have signed, been a fan only for 3 years but this club is unreal! Potential is endless GOOD LUCK
