Worsley & Eccles South MP Barbara Keeley has written a letter to the Prime Minister and supports calls to sack special advisor Dominic Cummings.
Mr Cummings has been at the centre of a scandal over the last couple of days when it emerged that he had traveled 260 miles to Durham from London during lockdown.
“I support the call for an independent inquiry and calls for Dominic Cummings to be sacked.”

In a post to her Facebook account, Mrs Keeley wrote: “There is real fear now expressed about the consequences of the breakdown in trust both in the Government and in the lockdown rules which has been caused by these events
“I fully support those constituents who say they are appalled at what has happened and the way it has been handled.
“I support the call for an independent inquiry and calls for Dominic Cummings to be sacked.”
Mr Cummings made an unorthodox public TV appearance last night, hosting a press conference to explain his decisions.
The conference lasted for over an hour.
Mr Cummings has faced repeated calls to resign.
Keir Starmer, Labour Party leader, has called for an inquiry into Mr Cummings’ trip to Durham and appropriate questions asked about what he did whilst there.
Durham police have confirmed that they are investigating complaints made about the special adivsor, who was seen visiting Barnard Castle.
Cummings has attested that he undertook the visit to test his eyesight.
