THIS coming Monday, Stacey Francis will be coming to Salford University to help the university’s netball team train.

Francis is an international England netball player who was part of the England team when they won a bronze medal at the 2010 Common Wealth Games.

In addition to that, Stacey Francis has been named Netball Super league player of the year in 2011 and 2013 and won gold in the netball world series hosted in Liverpool in 2011.

Salford University Netball Club has slowly moved up in the ranks over the last few years, massively improving their standard of play.

Faye Hutton, vice-chair of the netball society at Salford University said: “I thought it would be great for the girls to have a professional netball player give them a few tips and help improve their play for matches.

“I messaged her [Stacey Francis] on a wim because I follow her on Instagram for years and surprisingly she replied really quickly.”

Stacey will be attending Netball’s training session on Monday giving the first and second team a training session on defending.
