Salford has had 1,558 confirmed cases of coronavirus, an increase of FIVE.

The data was released today by the Department for Health and Social Care in partnership with the Office for National Statistics.

The current number of cases in each region is as follows:

SALFORD: 1,558, an increase of FIVE

BURY: 1,410, an increase of THREE

BOLTON: 2,091, an increase of EIGHT

ROCHDALE: 1,988, an increase of SEVENTEEN

OLDHAM: 2,389, an increase of THIRTY

TAMESIDE: 1,724, an increase of TWO

STOCKPORT: 1,852, an increase of FIVE

MANCHESTER: 3,550, an increase of THIRTY FOUR

TRAFFORD : 1,504, an increase of SEVEN

WIGAN: 2,215, an increase of THREE
