Salford's AJ Bell Stadium which will play host to England vs Fiji

Andy Ackers scored on debut as England defeated Fiji 50-0 in their final warm up game before the Rugby League World Cup.

Salford Red Devils trio Andy Ackers, Marc Sneyd and Kallum Watkins all started the game against the side who have been semi finalists in each of past three World Cups. Sneyd and Ackers were both making their debuts for The Lions on their home turf in Salford on Friday.

Ackers scored the second try of the game after an offload by Prop, Luke Thompson. Sneyd was on kicking duty for England and only missed his first conversion before converting his other attempts adding 14 points to the total score.

In his latest game for England, centre Kallum Watkins also went over the try line after receiving a pass from Dom Young before half time as England were leading 28-0 at the break.

For England it was their first match against a country on home soil since 2018 when they lost to New Zealand 0-34.

Next up for the trio it is the real thing as England play Samoa in the opening game in Newcastle on Saturday.
