A man has been arrested on suspicion of three counts of attempted kidnapping in Salford.

A 33-year-old man was arrested after a public appeal, which police set up after “possibly linking” three attempted kidnaps across areas of Salford.

At roughly 6.15 pm on Monday November 21, a 15-year-old girl was approached at a bus stop in Monton. A man allegedly made advances to her and tried to get her to go with him to his car.

Police believe the incident may be connected to two similar events involving two teenage girls, aged 13 and 15.

Operation Wraith was set up by the police encouraging anyone with possible evidence to send it through.

Detectives would like to speak to anyone who may have dashcam footage matching the following locations and times:
• Rocky Lane/Monton Green/Monton High Street on Monday November 21 between 6 and 7pm.
• Mossfield Road/Ackworth Road, Swinton, on Monday November 21 between 8am and 9am.
• Liverpool Street, Salford, between Fitzwarren Street and Albion Way on Wednesday November 16 between 7.45pm and 8.20pm.

Any witnesses are asked to email cctvretrieval@gmp.police.uk with their name and contact number for instructions on how to upload footage.
