Eight roads in Monton are set to be closed on Bank Holiday Monday for a Five Mile Run.
Cavendish, Ellesmere, Stafford, Rutland, Westminster, Chatsworth, Sandwich and Victoria road will be closed on Monday (28 August) from 9am to 11.30am.
The closures come after Sports Feet and Crazy Legs Events organised the Monton 5 Miler (or 5miler – smiler), with a course set around Swinton Gateway and Eccles College.
Entries to the race are limited to 500 people, with the winning male/female winning £100 cash prize each, and every contestant receiving a pair of £14 hillside socks, and a bespoke medal.
