For the ninth year, the charity MedEquip4Kids will be hosting their annual duck race at the Salford Quays.

MedEquip4Kids will be raising money to provide medical equipment and resources for the wellbeing of babies and children.

March 29 will marks the charity’s ninth year of welcoming hundreds of people down to the Quays and helping raise money for charity projects.

Businesses are helping support the race by sponsoring a mega duck for £275. Not only can businesses help but people in the community can sponsor a duckling for the main race for £2.50.

Prizes will be handed out on the day for the winning ducks. Everyone attending on the day has the chance to vote for their favourite Mega Duck.

Christian from MedEquip4Kids said:  ”MedEquips4Kids improves the health and wellbeing of babies and children in the North West by proving equipment & facilities (that are) not available from limited NHS resources.

”We also deliver the Hummingbird Project: A programme of mental health workshops in both primary and secondary schools.

”It’s not just a day for raising money, the main aim is to bring the community together. Giving something back to Salford.”
