Girls can learn how to play rugby league at a Salford training event during the Easter holidays.

Salford Red Devils Foundation is hosting free development sessions for under-12s through to under-16s.

The games are on the 8th April and will be held at Cadishead Rhinos, while the training sessions, on the 5th April, will be held at Eccles Sixth Form College.

The training session is on Friday 5th April, for U12, U13 and U14s (years 7,8 & 9) from 10am-12pm and the U15 and U16s (yr 10 & 11) from 10am-12.30pm.

There are game opportunities the following week on Monday April 8, with opponents to be confirmed, which will offer girls a chance to represent Salford Red Devils in a competitive fixture.

There are separate games for different age groups, with U12s playing one game, U13s and U14s being grouped together for their game and U15 and U16s playing together also, with times and more information to be confirmed.

Girls don’t need any experience or knowledge of rugby league to attend.

Registering for the programme can be done via the QR code on the leaflet pictured below and once registered to the programme, all girls will be invited to attend a Salford Red Devils men’s home game and have access to the Salford Red Devil’s women’s team matches along with other matchday events such as halftime games on the pitch.
