A much-loved pizza destination has confirmed that it will be opening a new restaurant in MediaCity this autumn.

The New York inspired pizzeria, Nell’s Pizza will be moving to Salford Quays later this year, bringing their iconic 22″ pizzas, mega happy hour deals as well as ‘ice cold margs’ to Quayside.

The pizzeria was founded by long standing Manchester operators Jonny and Charlotte Heyes, they launched the business in 2020 in response to a growing need to create a sustainable food offering for their existing venues.

And since then, the restaurant has continued to grow in popularity across Greater Manchester having locations in the Northern Quarter, Altrincham, Chorlton, and Kampus in Manchester – it will be an exciting move for local residents.

And it isn’t just local residents that have taken notice, winning the ‘Affordable Eats’ award at the Manchester Food and Drink Awards.

The new location will also mark an exciting chapter for the Manchester born brand as they expand outside of the city centre once again.

The move will not only be exciting for Salford locals but also for Co-Founder of Nell’s, Jonny Heyes who said: “We’ve been thinking about MediaCity for a long time, it’s such a great area and we’ve seen what brilliant operators like Kargo have achieved so when this space came up, we jumped on it!

“The venue is huge which has given us the chance to really play with the experience.

“This idea of karaoke and shuffleboard accompanying our made-for-sharing pizzas and great cocktails feels like a natural next step for us as a brand.”

With the move set in place, the award-winning pizza destination also looks to create more than 35 new jobs and offering residents a chance to work for a company that has been listed as one of the Times 100 Best Places to Work for the second year running.
