A free Halloween event is being held by a men’s mental health charity in Salford.
Heads Up Gentleman, based in Little Hulton, is hosting its annual Fear Fair with the night set to include refreshments, rides and games.
The fair, taking place today, Thursday 30 October, from 5 pm to 7 pm at the Little Hulton Pavilion, aims to bring people together in support of men’s mental health while enjoying the “spooky stuff.”
Jeff Moritz, the founder and CEO of Heads Up Gentlemen, said: “Sometimes, the scariest battles men fight aren’t the ones out there in the dark-they’re the quiet ones we face inside.
“That’s why we do what we do. Events like this give us a reason to smile, connect, and remember we’re not alone.”

Jeff described how the ‘lads’ will be in full Halloween costume, running games like the Bean Bag of Doom, Mystery Monster challenge and Ring-Around-the-Goblin, all with a laugh, however with a purpose behind it.
“The aim is to use fun, friendship, and teamwork to open up conversations that matter.
“You don’t always need a big speech or a therapy session to talk about how you feel.
“Sometimes it starts with a laugh, a bit of banter, or even a silly Halloween game.
“The main thing is-we show up for each other.”
Jeff described how the Fear Fair is more than a night of fun; it’s a celebration of community spirit, resilience, and the strength that comes from standing shoulder-to-shoulder with your mates.
The night ties perfectly into their mission: “To support men’s mental health and well-being through community, creativity, and connection- even in the most unexpected (and haunted) places.”
Heads Up Gentlemen urge everyone to come down, bring the family, friends and join them, for a night of frights, laughter, and togetherness.
