Weaste and Seedley Social Club promise a ‘relaxed and welcoming’ night out with a live music event later this month.
The Big Swingy Thing takes place on the 28 March 2026 from 9pm, offering modern pop songs in a swinging gypsy jazz, rock, and blues style. Covers include Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Pink and many more.
Dan Field, a singer and guitarist from the group, said, “We bring ‘feel good vibes’ with lots of audience interaction, comedy and buffoonery between songs, and the dance floor is always full wherever we play”
The Big Swingy Thing, previously known as The Mash Up Men, will be showcasing their talent and energy for a night to remember.
The club secretary Ian Carberry said: “Our events always have that community feel where people are chatting at the bar, up dancing, singing along and just enjoying themselves.
“It’s relaxed, welcoming and a proper good night out for everyone who comes through the doors”
The band themselves are really looking forward to playing and they know the social club always has a welcoming and lively crowd that will sing along and be up dancing.
For entry, it will cost £3 for members and £5 for non-members. It is best to get a ticket in advance as they do not know how busy it is going to be.
