A man is fighting for his life after the e-bike he was riding was hit by a car in Salford.
Emergency services descended on Fitzwarren Street in Pendleton in the early hours of Monday morning.
Greater Manchester Police said officers were called to reports of a serious road collision involving a car and an e-bike at around 2.15am on Monday.
Upon attending the scene, police found a male rider with life-threatening injuries.
He was rushed to hospital for treatment, where he remains in a critical condition.
A spokesperson for the police force confirmed an investigation has been launched into the circumstances of the early-morning crash.
No arrests have been made so far.
GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit has issued an appeal for witnesses to come forward with information which may assist their probe.
