Monton

The manager of a popular pub in a leafy part of Salford says bookings have been “flooding in” after a stylish £600,000 refurbishment.

The Blue Bell pub in Monton was temporarily closed to allow its bar and dining areas to be refurbished, with new tiling, fixtures, fittings, furniture and decor giving the venue a fresh new look.

The pub welcomed thirsty customers back through its doors for the first time since the renovation today, Friday 21 August.

David Kershaw, the general manager, said bookings have been “flooding in” as eager punters look to secure a table at one of their favourite drinking spots inside the JW Lees-owned boozer.

The Blue Bell pub has been “flooded with bookings” since ahead of its reopening.

“The people of Monton had been looking forward to the refurb for a while and I think JW Lees have delivered something special,” he highlighted.

“Now we have added new furniture, a sound system and planters, the outside looks as good as the new inside.

“The bookings have been flooding in, so I’d advise people to go online and book a table to avoid any disappointment
trying the new signature dishes from our new menu.

“We look forward to welcoming everyone with cold drinks, hot food and a warm smile at the brand new Blue Bell.”

Sitting at the junction of Monton Green and Monton Road, in the heart of Monton village, the Blue Bell is a natural stopping point for those exploring the area.

Whether walking the towpath of the Bridgewater Canal, browsing the independent shops and cafes along Monton Green, or exploring the wider Eccles and Salford area.

A spokesperson for JW Lees said the popular pub has been “thoughtfully refreshed from the ground up.

“Refurbishment works encompassed the entirety of the inside space including the bar and dining areas, with the internal layout opened to create a lighter, more generous space, and smart tiling, new fixtures, fittings, furniture and décor lending an elevated feel to the pub.

“The result is a bright, open-plan pub that flows easily from bar to dining areas, while the front and side-facing terrace, fitted out with new furniture, planters and a new sound system, is the perfect spot to enjoy a pint and a bite to eat, whether calling in for a quick lunch or making a real occasion of it.”
