A Salford content creator who shares advice on navigating motherhood while managing the pressures of everyday life is celebrating after making it as a finalist in a prestigious business award.
Natasha Guy, the founder of The Mama Perspective blog was selected as a finalist in the Female Founder of the Year category at the upcoming UK Women’s Business Awards.
Following a judging process which highlighted the nation’s most impactful women-led businesses, Natasha made it into the final few.
The Salford mum founded the business in 2023 to break the stigma surrounding maternal mental health.
Natasha has since been supporting a community for mothers through honest storytelling, real life insights as well as covering topics such as self-care, parenting, and emotional wellbeing.
Since the launch of The Mama Perspective, the platform has achieved a strong local presence and has more than two thousand followers and supporters online.
Natasha found out she was a finalist for the award on an ordinary evening while scrolling on her phone. It was a nice surprise, to say the least.
She said: “I’m honestly so honoured to be named a finalist for Female Founder of the Year at the UK Women’s Business Awards.
This is such a special milestone for me and The Mama Perspective. What started as a hobby and passion for supporting mums has grown into something I’m incredibly proud of, and to have that work recognised in this way feels a little surreal.
Behind every mum building something meaningful is often a whole lot of juggling, self-belief, and support. I couldn’t have reached this point without my amazing husband, whose support means everything, and the wonderful community here in Salford and the incredible people who have supported The Mama Perspective across the UK.
This recognition is as much a celebration of that support as it is of the journey so far.”
The grand final winners will be officially announced this December during the UK Women’s Business Awards ceremony in Birmingham
