Salford’s Seven Brothers Brewery will be holding a virtual Zoom tour and beer tasting to interact with customers and to allow people to “enjoy the night together… but apart.”

The brewery offered regular group visits before the pandemic, but had to switch to virtual tours to work within Government Covid guidelines.

The tour consists of a 30-minute guided journey through the brewery, following the process of how the beer is made. The trip will then end with guests getting involved with a virtual beer tasting with host and events manager Beth Atton.

The pandemic has hit hard for everyone and the continued involvement from customers has left Seven Brothers “very grateful” for the massive amount of support.

The brewery is also due to open a MediaCity bar next door to Pret A Manger with work to start next month.

The family-run company started seven years ago after father Eric McAvoy began brewing his own beer at home (a surprisingly popular pastime that a lot of people have taken up since the beginning of lockdown) with the help of his seven sons and their families.

Sister company Sisters Distillery started three years ago with the four McAvoy sisters coming together and creating Salford Gin Distillery.

Seven Brothers has always been vegan and fully supports those interests and beliefs. Head of marketing Alison Watson said:

“It’s nice to be within a team and listen to everyone’s point of view, after making several requests from the public we wanted it to be easy to find vegan beers.”

Clients can purchase the virtual beer tasting on the Seven Brothers website.
