Salford City 1-1 Bristol Rovers

New signing from Manchester City, Luke Bolton, is set to make his debut for the Ammies tonight in a tough London away day for Salford City.

Following the postponement of Salford City vs Port Vale last weekend, the Ammies travel to 3rd place Sutton United as the continue their ambitious promotion push.

The home side will be looking to continue their fine form which has seen them unbeaten since mid December and seen them climb into the automatic play off spots.

New winger Luke Bolton was set to make his debut at the weekend but the postponement of the fixture means he tonight’s away fixture is the first fans will see of the player after Carlisle last week coming too soon for the 22 year-old.

Bowyer’s men have endured some yoyo form since the turn of the year but have picked up considerably from the start of the campaign where a relegation scrap looked a possibility after winning just three of their first 17 games in all competitions.

Despite Sutton being the clear favorites, City will be hoping the extra days rest compared to their opponents will put them in good stead to cause the home side some serious problems and potentially take all 3 points.

Salford City sit 10th in the league, four points off the play-off places but have played two more games than current 7th place Exeter City, who are in fine form.

The match will kick off at 19:45 at the VBS Community Stadium with tickets still currently available for travelling Ammies via the Sutton United website.
