THE University of Salford’s Student’s Union president, ZamZam Ibrahim, spoke to a crowd of 10,000 supporters at the Women’s March in London.
ZamZam took to the stage alongside powerful activists to express solidarity and promote strength in community. ZamZam thanked the crowd for attending the rally, and said: ” I also want to thank every single one of you for coming out and showing solidarity and collective action.
“But we must remember, lets not forget that this isn’t about Trump, Weinstein or any other man who uses his power at the expense of Women.” – ZamZam Ibrahim, University of Salford Student’s Union President
The Women’s March established itself in 2017, leading the first London march on January 21st in opposition to Donald Trump’s first official day of presidency.
The Women’s march has become a global sensation, with many women-led marches taking place in Washington D.C., Los Angeles and New York. Women around the world come together and march to protect crucial human rights, and to celebrate the heroic activists that have stood before us.

Many celebrities have also been public in their support of the Women’s marches, including Reese Witherspoon who has had a significant involvement with the Time’s Up movement.
