Lidl have announced that they are set to open a new store in Eccles’ West One Retail Park as part of ten new stores across Greater Manchester.
The introduction of these stores are expected to create around 400 hundred jobs as part of Lidl’s growth program to open fifty new stores a year.
Nick Harvey, Lidl GB Regional Head of Property, said:
“We’ve seen incredible demand for Lidl stores across the country and look forward to offering our quality products and incredible value to shoppers in and around Eccles.”
The Eccles store, which becomes the latest multi-million pound investment from the supermarket giants is set to feature a 1,400m² sales area, in store bakery as well as additional space for parking.
Although opening dates for other new Greater Manchester stores have been rumored to be around 2020, Lidl are yet to announce an official date for the Eccles branch.
