British astronaut Tim Peake is coming to The Lowry next year as part of his first UK tour.

Tim was the first person to visit the International Space Station as part of a space walk whilst orbiting Earth in 2015 and is now talking about his experience in venues across the country next year.

His tour ‘My Journey to Space’ will give audiences the chance to hear what it is like to be an astronaut through Tim’s first hand-experience and photos and footage of space that has not been seen by the public before.

The presentation promises a fascinating insight into what training entails, how it feels during launch, and what a spacewalk and re-entry to Earth looks like.

Speaking about the experience audiences will get from his talk Tim said: “It’s impossible to look down on Earth from space and not be mesmerised by the fragile beauty of our planet.”

The Lowry said: “Tim will reveal the secrets, the science and the everyday wonders of how and why humans journey into space.”

My Journey to Space will be at The Lowry on 6th November 2021 and tickets are available to book here.
