The lineup for Salford’s Sounds From The Other City 2023 has been announced, with musicians, DJs, theatre and workshops set to grace the local contemporary stages.

The annual festival, held in and around Chapel Street, has an array of artists perform in The Old Pint Pot, The New Oxford, St Phillips Church, Hot Bed Press, Islington Mill and Ports Tapas restaurant.

This year will see the likes of French psych/experimental pop scene star, Halo Maud; Teacher/DJ Gracie T; and R&B/Soul singer and songwriter, Karis Jade, take to the stage.

The festival, which began in 2005, celebrates small artists in underground venues, hosting stars such as Alt-J, Slowthai, 2017’s Mercury Music Prize winner Sampha and BBC Sound of 2018 nominee IAMDDB.

Supported by Salford City Council, Arts Council, University of Salford and small local businesses, Sounds From The Other City has been described as “An institution amongst the area’s music fans” by BBC.

Sounds from the Other City will come to Salford On Sunday 30 April. Tickets start from £29.95 and can be purchased through the festival’s official website.
