A man has been charged in relation to a stabbing at Oakhill Court which left a victim needing “life-saving” treatment.

Police responded to reports of a stabbing at Oakhill Court, Mandley Park Avenue, at around 5pm on Wednesday 15 February.

A 39-year-old man was treated at the scene and taken to hospital where his condition remains serious but stable. Salford GMP tweeted that the man needed “life-saving” treatment as a result of his injuries.

Callum Shelton, (9/4/2000), no fixed abode, has been charged with attempted murder.

He has been remanded into custody and was due to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates court on Friday February 17.
