More than £66k which was successfully seized from a prolific Salford crime family is set to be re-invested in community crime prevention projects.

On Wednesday 29 March 2023, Manchester Crown Court ordered six individuals to return £66,026.94 of “ill-gotten” criminal profits, stemming from drugs offences to money laundering.

Following a Proceeds of Crime hearing (POCA), GMP has forfeited the criminal profits so it can be re-invested into community projects.

DCI Jenkins said: “Although members of the OCG (organised crime group) have already been jailed for a number of offences ranging from conspiracy to supply controlled Class A drugs to money laundering offences, it is imperative we ensure that criminal proceeds are not available for them to enjoy once they are released.”

Lee Worthington (39) of Rockley Gardens, Salford was convicted for Money Laundering and was sentenced to three years five months imprisonment.

Samantha Cox (32) of Littleton Road, Salford  was convicted of Conspiracy to Supply Controlled Drug Class A Heroin, Conspiracy to Supply a Controlled Drug Class A Crack Cocaine and Converting Criminal Property contrary to S327(1)(c) of the Proceeds of Crime Act and was sentenced to five years five months imprisonment.

Darren Horrocks (52) of Valencia Road, Salford was convicted of Conspiracy to Supply Controlled Drug Class A Heroin, Conspiracy to Supply a Controlled Drug Class A Crack Cocaine and was sentenced to six years 10 months imprisonment.

Joanna Zblewska (44) of Mulberry Court, Salford was convicted of convicted of Conspiracy to Supply Controlled Drug Class A Heroin, Conspiracy to Supply a Controlled Drug Class A Crack Cocaine and was sentenced to six years six months imprisonment.

Christopher Corbett (56) of Mulberry Road, Salford was convicted of Conspiracy to Supply Controlled Drug Class A Heroin, Conspiracy to Supply a Controlled Drug Class A Crack Cocaine and was sentenced to six years 10 months.

Stephen Worthington (36) of Gerald Road, Salford was convicted of Conspiracy to Supply Controlled Drug Class A Heroin, Conspiracy to Supply a Controlled Drug Class A Crack Cocaine and sentenced to six years six months imprisonment.
