A combination of temporary traffic lights and speed restrictions will be put in place along Irlam’s Liverpool Road as part of ongoing gas works in the area.
The works are set to take place over a five day period, in the second week of the summer holidays from Monday 31 July – Friday 4 August, during off peak hours from 9:30 – 15:30.
Temporary traffic lights will be positioned between The Club House and Makro Manchester. These will taken down after each shift and replaced with a metal road plate over the excavation.
Speed limits down the road will be reduced to 30mph throughout the entirety of the works.
Cadent are said to be running the operation.
