Salford’s voluntary and community groups could be eligible to access up to £10,000 in grants, thanks to a new cultural heritage fund.

Groups that celebrate the city’s arts, culture and heritage, and answer the question ‘whose art, whose culture’ could be eligible to receive the funds as part of a new combined initiative between Greater Manchester Authorities.

It welcomes groups which supports Salford’s diverse communities from white working class history in Weaste, through to Orthodox Jewish communities in Broughton.

Salford City Council and Salford CVS secured the money from the UK Government’s Shared Prosperity Fund via Greater Manchester Combined Authority.

The fund will be live on the CVS website around mid August.
