A graduate fashion designer from The University of Salford was left speechless during a Shania Twain gig after the superstar wore his masterpiece

Ewan Job said he was in the crowd at the Manchester gig last Monday cheering on the country singer when Shania appeared in the hot pink, rhinestone ‘Queen of Me’ inspired outfit designed by himself.

After graduating from the University of Salford in 2021, the fashion student said a week before the gig he had the idea to do it and knew he would regret it if he didn’t give it a go. Specialising in fashion, Job has his own style but knew if he wanted the popstar to wear it he had to make it ‘a fusion of Ewan and Shania’.

Job said: “I put out a tweet and an Instagram post and was just getting attraction for it. People were so lovely, they were sharing it and tagging her in it. It was just amazing the reaction it got.”

Twain’s manager replied to Ewan saying: “I think she’ll [Shania] love it” and told him to drop it off at her hotel immediately.

Ewan said that was the last thing he heard, and attended the concert as planned with no idea whether Shania had seen his work or not. After a surprise outfit reveal during her second song, he said it was “unbelievable” to see his work on stage and even more so to be pulled up to sing his favourite song with her in front of the crowd.

Job told Quays News: “It’s a massive sense of pride and a massive confidence booster. I think on the night I was just in shock for like a good hour or so and then it slowly started to sink in.”

The queen of country later tagged Ewan on X stating: “It’s an honor to wear one of your designs…and I’m glad you approved of my Shania’d version!!”

The growing fashion designer who runs his own label, PRIMAEWAN says he feels like the world is his oyster and that he is hoping to work with Shania again next year in Las Vegas.

He said: “I feel like my dream has already come true but that would be like the next level.”
