Salford’s Watersport Centre’s ‘Moonlight Paddle’ on Thursday evenings are back this winter with a night view paddle tour on katas and rafted canoes around Salford Quays.
The centre has been open for over 25 years and delivers water-sport sessions to the general public and to community groups as well.
The moonlight paddle has been going on for the past two years with this year being the second year. During the sessions beginners will get used to paddling whilst getting a scenic view of Salford Quays itself.
Facility manager Sam talks about the similar winter events for this year.
The route begins at Dock Eight (Ontario Basin), into the three main basins: St. Louis, St. Francis and Peter. Mariners Lake, a destination with a photo opportunity and into Dock 9 (Erie Basin) with more captivating city lights.
