Today police have launched an appeal for more information following a fight involving “a number of people” in Little Hulton.

At around 2.55pm on November 28 officers received reports of a fight in Old Lane. The police believe that multiple people were involved and “that a bladed weapon may have been brandished during the incident.”

Two people were injured during the fight, although these injuries were not life-threatening or life-changing.

One man has since been charged on suspicion of several offences, including possession of a bladed article in a public place, assault, and threats to kill. Another man who was arrested on suspicion of assault has since been released with no further action taken.

Officers are now appealing for anyone who may have relevant information or  witnessed the incident – or has CCTV, mobile phone, doorbell, or dashcam footage – to please come forward.
