Officers are appealing for information over a robbery last summer where around £6,700 in cash along with around £2,000 worth of foreign currency was stolen from a post office in Walkden.

At around 2.50pm on August 2023, officers responded to reports of a robbery at Walkden Post Office in Ellesmere Shopping Centre in Salford.

Through enquiries, detectives believe a man entered the Post Office before brandishing a suspected firearm and telling the store staff to put the till money in a carrier bag.

Police are now looking to identify and speak to a man who they believe may have vital information that can help with the investigation.
