Banana Tree, a Pan-Asian restaurant chain, has landed in the Salford Quays this week with a 50 per cent discount off meals.
Found on the Quayside, just outside of the Lowry Outlet mall, Banana Tree has brought their South-East Asian cuisine to the North West for the first time.
To celebrate their new location, they announced that they will be giving Salford a chance to claim one of 1000 free katsu curry dishes yesterday (February 12). For the first four days of this week visitors can also get 50 per cent off their meal as part of Banana Tree’s soft launch.
The chain was acquired by The Big Table Group in 2022, who also own popular chains such as Las Iguanas, Bella Italia and Café Rouge.
Banana Tree was founded over 30 years ago in West London, by William Chow, who still has a managing role in the company.
Commenting on the acquisition, Alan Morgan, Chief Executive Officer of The Big Table Group, said: “Anne and William have built a brand with an extremely loyal following, superb food and guest scores, plus excellent financial metrics, and we see great opportunities to grow the business, taking it into new towns and cities around the UK.”
The restaurant offers customers anything from breakfast, tapas, a vegan menu and even bottomless brunch options.
The MediaCityUK location marks the chain’s nineteenth opening where hungry Salfordians can take advantage of their flavoursome dishes inspired by South-East Asia, like curries, ramen and soups.
They also have a wide range of cocktails and mocktails available on a 2-for-1 offer, allowing customers to taste all the flavours on offer.
The restaurant is open seven days a week, open from 11:30 to 23:00 on weekdays and 11:30 to 22:00 on weekends.
