Bus passengers in Salford will benefit when phase 2 of the Bee Network is launched next month, says Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM).
Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham labelled the plans as a “demonstration of commitment to improving public transport in the region.”
He said phase 2 of the Bee Network will bring immediate service, safety and customer information improvements from March 24.
Changes will include earlier and later services, a number of new buses, more TravelSafe officers on buses and at interchanges, along with updates to the Bee Network app including live bus tracking.

TfGM have also confirmed they are working towards the launch of 24/7 night time bus services which will be piloted on the 36 and V1 routes, both of which run through Salford.
This scheme is to help ensure those working in hospitality, manufacturing, healthcare and other fields can get home safely from work using public transport.
Daytime fares and tickets would apply on the night bus service meaning a single trip would still cost a maximum of £2.
Services are planned to run once an hour to plug the current gap (1am-5am) and TfGM are working with its partners to get the correct level of TravelSafe to ensure the safety of passengers on these services.
