Salford’s new multimillion-pound Youth Zone is partnering up with the Salford Red Devils to provide more sporting opportunities for young people.
The youth zone, under construction in Pendleton, has already secured £7.6 million from the government’s youth investment fund and is building a network of partnerships across the city.
The project has also benefited from investment from Salford’s BetFred owner Fred Done who has put £6 million towards the project.
The youth zone will be located in Pendleton next to Belvedere Road and Broadwalk.
Salford Red Devils have promised to provide the youth zone with complimentary tickets to games at the community stadium as well as working with families in the East Manchester area to provide more sporting opportunities.
Salford Red Devils said: “This partnership symbolises a resolute commitment to leveraging the power of sport and community engagement to drive positive change.
“Together, Salford Red Devils, Hideout Youth Zone, Salford Youth Zone, and Fred Done are poised to redefine the landscape of social impact locally and empower the youth of Salford and East Manchester.”
The new facility is set to provide support and invaluable resources for young people in the city of Salford including those with special needs seven days a week and is scheduled to open in 2025.

To celebrate this the club’s game against Warrington Wolves on Saturday April 27 will be taken over by the young of Salford Youth Zone. Tickets for the fixture can be bought here.
