GCSE

Students across Salford are being celebrated for their dedication and hard work as they receive their GCSE results.

With students receiving their results today, Salford City Council shared how proud they were of the participating students for their hard work and commitment.

As Councillor Jim Cammell, Lead Member for Children and Young People’s Services, said: “A huge well done to all Salford GCSE students. We’re immensely proud of their commitment.

“Our young people have been supported every step of the way by families, teachers, schools, and carers. We wish them all fulfilling and successful futures.”

Cllr. Cammell continued: “The council remains firmly committed to working alongside communities to ensure Salford continues to be a place where children thrive.

“Supporting every child’s journey through learning, growth, and personal development is central to our vision.”

Students who may not have received the results they were hoping for can seek guidance through school careers advisers or dedicated online resources to help explore the next steps.

Salford City Council have also shared that as part of the council’s corporate plan, making Salford a child friendly city is a core ambition – creating an environment where young people feel safe, supported, and empowered to succeed.

This initiative reinforces the city’s commitment to amplifying the voices and rights of children across Salford.
