A man in his 60s has suffered fatal injuries following a four-vehicle collision on the M60.
Officers were called at 6:15pm on Sunday 12 October to the report of a road traffic collision between three cars and a motorbike between junctions 15 and 16 on the M60. The incident occurred on the clockwise carriageway, near Salford.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said: “Sadly, the rider of the motorbike, a man in his 60s, died after suffering fatal injuries.
“Two of the three drivers have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. GMP are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact them.”
GMP also said they are “keen to speak to anyone who may have dashcam footage from the area in the moments leading up to the crash.”

At 18:43 on Sunday 12 October, the motorway was fully closed for several hours after the incident. Some of the lanes still remained closed in the early hours of Monday morning.
All lanes on the M60 are now open, and no other incidents have been reported.
