Salford mums are being invited to a free musical celebration for Mother’s Day with a performance by Salford singer Dee Dee Allen at Weaste and Seedley Social Club.
Mother’s Day is this Sunday March 15 and the club’s event has multiple activities taking place over the afternooon.
Dee Dee Allen, 15, from Swinton, is the winner of the Johnny Marr Award 2024, and the Co-op Academy Young Musician of the Year 2024.
Her mum Tammi said: “Daisy is known as Dee Dee Allen on stage and she is looking forward to performing on Sunday. She is always welcomed by the crowd and it’s always a good day.
“Families are welcomed too which is great. Being a proud Salfordian too she is always excited to perform in her own town.”
Dee Dee Allen has previously participated in multiple charity events for the social club. She has also supported Motor Neuron Disease and men’s mental health awareness.
Weaste & Seedley Social Club has also promised to keep the event going after her performance with a DJ set from DJ Smiley.
A club spokesperson said: “Expect big vocals, big energy and maybe even a little dance with your mum in the middle of the floor.
“Join us for a Mother’s Day celebration full of cracking tunes, great company and a well-deserved tipple or two.”
The celebration will take place from 3pm onwards and is free.
