The Jolly Carter in Eccles has reopened after a five-week closure following a £295,000 investment from owner JW Lees.

The pub, just a few steps away from Winton Park, reopened mid-February, with a new bar, vault and spacious seating areas with brand new fixtures, fittings, furniture and décor.

New operators Gareth and Mel shared their excitement about the investment. Mel said: ‘We have some really fun times ahead planned for us all. Gareth and I want our pub to be a fun, comfortable and safe place where everyone can feel included.

“Community is so important to us, and we look forward to making new lifelong friends.’

The pub is set to offer a full roster of events, including darts and pool leagues. The pub also offers a live DJ experience on Saturday evenings.

The pub offers traditional JW Lees beers, including cask ales Bitter and Manchester Pale Ale, ranging to continental style Manchester Craft Lager. The pub also offers commercial lagers and stouts.

Other events at Jolly Carter include Wine Wednesday, where the cost of two glasses gets you the rest of the bottle, or Fizz Friday where you can get £10 off Champagne and £5 off Prosecco. Thursdays are usually pub quiz night while Sunday is bingo night.

The reopening of Jolly Carter forms part of JW Lees’ ongoing investment programme across its managed pubs, inns and hotels, as the Manchester-based family brewery continues to add locations across the North West of England and north Wales.
