Here are some of the Christmas carol services and concerts to enjoy in and around Salford.
Christmas carols have been around for hundreds of years, with many towns and villages creating their own local songs to sing along to.
Carols were composed long before the days of Spotify playlists and radios, so communities would come together to sing in order to enjoy music.
There are few better ways to get into a festive mood than singing around the Christmas tree, so below are some in Salford you can attend:
Sunday 15th December at 11:15am
The church will be singing lots of traditional Christmas hymns with refreshments such as tea, coffee and mince pies served after the service.
Sunday 15th December, 6:00pm – 8:00pm

All proceeds raised from the event will go to Global’s Make Some Noise – helping disadvantaged children, young people and their families.
Thursday 19th December at 7:30pm
Christmas readings and lots of carol singing followed by mulled wine and mince pies after the service.
Sunday 15th December at 6:30pm
This annual Advent concert will see a choir perform old favourites, joined by St Bede’s College Choir.
Tickets are £5 with refreshments available after the service.
Friday 20th December at 6:30pm
Meeting at Elmwood, carol singers will be split into groups and sing for 2-3 wards, returning back to Elmwood for food and games.
