There are now 31 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Salford, not too far behind the worst-hit region of Stockport, with 42 cases.

At the time of writing, the statistics for the region are as follows:

Salford: 31 cases
Central Manchester: 41 cases
Tameside: 32 cases
Oldham: 34 cases
Rochdale: 24 cases
Bury: 17 cases
Bolton: 19 cases

Public Health England released the data earlier yesterday.

This comes after the NHS Northern Care Alliance released new guidelines for visitors to their hospitals.

These guidelines state that visiting times will only be from 2 pm-3 pm and that visitors should observe the national policy when it comes to face-to-face interactions.
