Salford City travel to Glanford Park tomorrow evening as Paul Scholes’ men look to return to winning ways against Scunthorpe United in SkyBet League Two.

The Ammies will be keen to pick up three points in Tuesday’s 7:45pm kick-off after conceding in the latter stages of their 1-1 draw against Crawley Town last weekend.

Saturday’s draw against the Red Devils saw Scholes’ side drop out of the play-off positions, now occupying 8th in the table despite quite a promising start with only one defeat in their opening eight games.

James Wilson is the man in form at the moment for Salford, with a goal in each of his last four games at home and will be hoping he can replicate that form on the road for the Ammies.

Di-Shon Bernard, on loan from Manchester United, could feature again for Salford, after Scholes was impressed with the young centre-back’s performance on his debut in their last league game.

Meanwhile, Scunthorpe have had a nightmare start to the 2020/21 season, losing six of their first eight encounters and picking up just the one win so far.

The home side fell to a 3-1 defeat to last year’s play-off finalists Exeter City over the weekend, and will go into tomorrow night’s clash with Salford as the underdogs despite the home advantage.

Both sides met in the league exactly a year ago today, which finished 1-1 at the Peninsula Stadium after the Iron opened the scoring.

Scunthorpe United v Salford City kicks off at 7:45pm at Glanford Park tomorrow evening.
