The free event encourages people to get involved in creative projects and develop their sense of community.

Taking place on Sunday 2nd October between 12.30-4.30, East Salford’s Fun Palace will involve activities for children and families.

It will also share the recent creations of Walk the Plank. Presentations will include ‘The Tree of Knowledge’ (Forest Schools, Fanzines and Storytelling Walks), art and culture exchanges with Creative Embassies, and outdoor landscape performances.

Hosted at Cobden Works, the event plans to host a variety of creative activities for all ages, in order to develop community relations and creative talent.

Walk the Plank is one of the UK’s leading outdoor arts organisations with a body of work that spans 30 years. The Salford-based company works locally, nationally and internationally, with a mission to enrich lives through shared creative experiences.

Fun Palaces is a national initiative based at Cobden Works, designed to incorporate culture into the heart of local communities.
